UPM Supplier Award 2017

Paul & Co, manufacturer of paper cores with 12 production sites in Europe and Asia, has been again (for the 6th time) appointed best supplier with the highest total score by UPM Paper ENA and Specialty Papers. Frank Bruns, Purchasing Manager at UPM, presented this year’s award to Andreas Friedel, the responsible sales manager at Paul & Co.  

“Measurement and assessment of supplier performance within the individual sites of UPM constitutes a systematic basis for clear requirements and a standard of comparison for the suppliers deployed. Winning this supplier award again, Paul & Co continues to demonstrate its exceptional performance,” says Frank Bruns.  

“For a perfect cooperation between customer and supplier it is fundamentally important to share information and experience on a regular and constructive basis. The supplier assessment carried out annually by UPM is an essential element of a successful collaboration. Thus, possible ‘weak spots’ can be identified and eliminated at an early stage. We are proud to receive this appreciation yet another time and we are pleased together with the entire team who made this success possible. Needless to say that this award continues to give us an incentive to maintain or even further improve and develop this status,” says Andreas Friedel.

Fondée en 1893, l’entreprise Paul & Co fabrique une grande variété de tubes carton : allant des versions standard pour les différents produits enroulés, en passant par les tubes carton de haute performance pour le papier, jusqu’aux tubes carton à surface affinée pour les films et feuilles les plus sensibles. La gamme de produits comprend en outre des emballages avec système, par exemple des cornières carton angulaires et pour rouleaux, les profilés plats ou en U. Le Groupe Kunert fait partie d’un réseau mondial de partenaires. Les salariés fabriquent de 210 000 tonnes de tubes et cornières carton ainsi que 250 000 tonnes de carton pour tubes. A côté des places de formation dans les domaines commerciaux et techniques, Paul & Co offre des possibilités de stages aux écoliers et aux étudiants et collabore avec les universités dans le cadre des travaux de diplôme, par exemple dans les domaines de papier, de tubes carton et de la logistique.
