A new production hall with an area of almost 3,000 m² is built on the grounds of company Kunert Peiting GmbH & Co KG. An additional, state-of-the-art production line will be installed there for the production of angular edge protectors made of board. Angular edge protectors serve as protection during transportation for products of all kinds, like, e.g., for furniture, major domestic appliances, window frames, barrels, reeled goods and beverage crates as well as to ensure load securing. Already now, about 4,800 tonnes or 20,000,000 metres are produced every year on an existing line in Peiting.
Following the implementation, the total production area for angular edge protectors and paper cores will be about 20,000 m².

The family-run company that celebrated its 125th anniversary last year produces 330,000 tonnes of paper cores, packaging made of corrugated board and angular edge protectors as well as 250,000 tonnes of core board every year. All over the world 2,000 members of staff are employed in the Kunert Group’s 17 plants. Only recently, a new site in Thailand has been opened.
